Cookie Policy
Which cookies aurema.life uses, what they do, and how to change your mind.
This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on aurema.life. It forms part of our Privacy Policy, which describes how IT FACTORY d.o.o. handles personal data more generally.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website sends to your browser when you visit it. The file is stored on your device and sent back to the website on each later visit, or to another site that recognises it. Cookies are what allow a website to remember something between one page and the next.
Similar technologies do related work. A web beacon, sometimes called a tracking pixel, is a small and usually invisible image placed on a page or in an e-mail, used to record that the page was opened or the message was read. Beacons are often used together with cookies. Browsers also offer local storage, which keeps information on your device in a comparable way.
We may collect information through cookies, web beacons or similar analytics technologies, as described below.
2. The categories of cookie
Cookies are usually grouped into four categories. Not all of them are used on this website.
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website to work. They do things like remembering the cookie choices you have made, or keeping a form submission secure. Without them parts of the site would stop functioning, so they are set without consent, on the basis of our legitimate interest.
The one we always set belongs to our consent banner: CookieConsent, which records the choices you made so that you are not asked again on every page. It lasts twelve months and holds nothing beyond your consent state.
Analytics and performance cookies let us count visitors and see how people move through the site — which pages are read, how visitors arrived, where they leave. We use this to make the site easier to use, for example by noticing that people cannot find something they are looking for. These are set only if you agree.
Functional cookies remember choices you have made, so the site can behave the way you left it.
Targeting and advertising cookies record which pages you visited and which links you followed, so that advertising can be tailored to you, often across other websites. We do not use cookies of this kind. We do not advertise on this website and we do not share visitor data with advertising networks.
3. What this website actually uses
| Category | Used here | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Yes — to remember your consent choices and to keep forms working | Legitimate interest |
| Analytics and performance | Yes — to measure how the website is used | Consent |
| Functional | Only where a feature needs it | Consent |
| Targeting and advertising | No | — |
Our analytics is Google Analytics 4, provided to us by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It sets two cookies: _ga, which distinguishes one visitor from another, and _ga_ followed by our property identifier, which keeps track of a single visit. Both last up to two years. Neither is set unless you agree to analytics cookies.
Google Analytics collects your IP address in order to work out roughly where a visit came from. In Google Analytics 4 the address is shortened before it is stored and is not retained afterwards. Google may transfer data to servers outside the European Economic Area, including to Google LLC in the United States; that transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified, and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We do not enable Google's advertising features, we do not link Google Analytics to any advertising account, and we do not allow the data to be used for Google's own advertising purposes.
Section 4 lists every cookie individually, with its purpose and how long it lasts.
4. Managing consent
Consent on this website is handled by Cookiebot, a service of Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark, which processes consent data within the European Union.
Cookiebot does two things. It shows the banner on your first visit and records what you chose, keeping that record as proof of consent as the law requires. And it holds back every non-essential script until you agree, so analytics does not run before you have said yes.
The list below is generated by Cookiebot from an automatic scan of this website, so it reflects what is actually in use rather than what we remember to write down. It updates when the site changes.
5. Cookies set by others
Some cookies on a website are set by the site itself, and some by third parties whose services it uses. On aurema.life the only third party is Google Analytics, described above. We do not control how Google operates its cookies, and none of them is set unless you consent.
Two things are worth saying plainly, because they are often assumed and often wrong.
The typefaces on this website are hosted on our own server rather than loaded from a font service, so opening a page does not disclose your IP address to a font provider.
We do not embed advertising networks, social media tracking pixels or share buttons that load third-party code. Links to our social media accounts are ordinary links: nothing is loaded until you choose to follow one.
6. Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time by reopening the consent banner through the link in the footer of this website. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened while consent was still in place.
You can also control cookies in your browser, which lets you refuse some or all of them and delete those already stored. Every browser handles this differently, and the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each explain their own settings.
One caveat: if you block all cookies, including the strictly necessary ones, parts of this website may stop working properly.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the tools we use change or when a regulator requires it. The current version is always published here, with the date it was last updated.
Questions about cookies or about anything else in this policy go to andrijana@aurema.life.
