About AUREMA
AUREMA began at home.
Retreats with a sense of place, hosted by the people who live there.
Our story
It began with a personal search for something quieter.
AUREMA was founded by Andrijana, a university professor, PhD, yoga instructor and business professional with twenty years of experience.
But AUREMA didn't really begin in a classroom, a yoga studio or a business meeting.
After years of balancing work, family and everyday responsibilities, Andrijana found herself repeatedly returning to practices and places that helped her slow down, reconnect and find a sense of inner calm.
Some of those experiences happened on retreats. And some happened much closer to home. In nature. Through movement. Around a table. In the garden. In the company of people she loves.
AUREMA grew from the desire to share that feeling with others.
Andrijana was born and raised in Međimurje and still calls it home today. During an AUREMA retreat, she doesn't simply show guests her destination. She opens the door to it.
During the final two days in Čakovec, part of the retreat takes place in Andrijana's own home, where she and her small family — including their dog and cat — welcome guests into their everyday world. The first three retreat days are centred at Sukha Vacation House, the home of Andrijana's friends in Međimurje.
There is no performance of local life.
Perhaps coming home isn't about finding a new place to belong, but remembering how it feels to be present in your own life.
The people
Who you'll spend the week with.

Andrijana
Professor and PhD in marketing, yoga instructor and business professional with twenty years of experience.
Andrijana combines a strong organisational background with a long personal interest in movement, relaxation and practices that support inner calm. She created AUREMA as a way of bringing those worlds together and sharing the place she calls home.

Sandra
For more than twenty years, Sandra has accompanied people through change, recovery and the challenges of everyday life through yoga, breath, touch and Ayurveda.
She works with children, women, families and people with additional needs, always beginning in the same place: by listening.
There is no one practice that works for everyone. Sandra adapts her approach to the person in front of her, their body, abilities, stage of life and what they genuinely need in that moment.
People often come to her tired, stressed or looking for support. The intention isn't perfection. It's to leave feeling a little calmer, steadier and lighter.
